JORGENSEN Erik
Born in 1951, Self-taught.
Since 1984 I have participated in almost 1000 exhibitions and numerous awards at censored exhibitions in Denmark and abroad, and a prize at Roskilde Åben (censored exhibition for all kinds of visual art).
From 1994 to 2008 and from 2012 to 2014 I was president of Fotoklubben Negativ, Roskilde (a Danish camera club), where I am still a member. I am a member of Fotokunsgruppen VINGESUS (the photographic art group WHIRR OF WINGS_ Ronflement des Ailes). I am also a member of international photography juries in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Belgium.
In particular, I work with two very different genres, constructed photography and nature/landscape photography.
Constructed photography represents a transformation that can be done in various ways. Indeed, two or more photographs can be merged into one, or an element can emerge from a grouping of photographs and lead to a result having nothing to do with the original photos. Or, the processing can be done on a single photo. The goal is above all, the creation of an imaginary reality. Nature and landscape photography is quite the opposite. Indeed, it is not the question of the construction of a new reality that concerns us here, but of transmitting the beauty of nature and the landscapes that surround us.
