A passionate photographer, Jean-Marc Stoeffler has been practicing this art since the age of 13. During the long period of the Argentique, he developed his own B&W photos, using a mobile laboratory that he transported as he traveled.

As soon as digital cameras appeared, he admits to having appreciated their great flexibility of use, but without falling into the trap of photo editing, which can distort images in an attempt to embellish them. On the computer, he just allows himself some cropping.

Self-taught, he was able to perfect his art through internships, notably in Arles with professors from the National School of Photography.

Travels, another passion, he brings back many shots that he carefully selects to make personal books, exhibit in salons, in particular with ARTEC or the Cercle des Artistes de Paris (second prize of the public in 2018), and also to publish them on the Internet.

But his objective is not to bring back the images known to all travellers, he is looking for original points of view, everyday fantasies unexpected poetry.

His great pleasure is indeed toshare his viewunique with others.
