VAN QUICKENBORNE Thierry
Thierry Van Quickenborne was born in Chatou, town of the Impressionists near Paris and lives in the suburbs of BORDEAUX.
At the age of 16, he created his first painting.
After studying higher letters, Hypokâgne (Paris), he obtained a degree in history and sociology, then a degree in plastic arts at the faculty of the Sorbonne.

He appears in multiple private collections, at the Orly Airport Museum (France) in the art books "Apocalypses" and "The horse in fantastic painting"
A reflection of our own existence, each object carries within it an enigmatic element. Aged, it becomes historical testimony, which only partially lifts the veil on the enigma. The frequent juxtaposition of ancient and modern elements means that the space of the canvas is also time. Background and forms are in perpetual interaction. The architecture is formal and symbolic. "Realism" is a way like any other to bring the viewer into the canvas by giving him exits.
