Louise Marion is a painter from the Lanaudière region, more precisely from Joliette in Quebec. She has always been attracted to the arts in all its forms but for 20 years, it is through painting that she has made us discover her colorful and dazzling vision of life. The call of the artistic life being stronger than anything, she lives today from her art and has established her creative studio in Valleyfield. She now shares her passion with the contemporary figurative painters of Quebec whom she meets regularly.

Marion draws her inspiration from the little moments of relaxation in everyday life.   She travels through towns and villages here and elsewhere in search of urban scenes and landscapes. She is particularly fond of bistros and terraces, streets lined with stairs and balconies where flowers and bicycles share the space. His faceless characters symbolize the anonymity of cities. His acrylic signature translates into a surprising juxtaposition of complementary colors in such a way as to make the light explode. His paintings give off emotions of happiness and breathe the joy of living!

His style is inspired by several artistic currents, fauvism, pop art and a hint of naive art. Which translates into: Daring pure and vivid dazzling colors,   placed in a large flat area, without nuances, like a puzzle. Each of the blocks of color being surrounded by a black line, it is cloisonnism which makes it possible to delimit the colors from each other. Finally, cut to the chase,   keep what's important and remove all superfluous details.

His paintings are exhibited in several art galleries in Canada, notably in Quebec, New Brunswick and Vancouver.   She has participated in numerous painting symposiums in Quebec, New Brunswick and Brittany. She has accumulated several solo and group exhibitions in Quebec and abroad; Belgium, Spain and France where she was invited in 2009 to be part of a delegation to represent Quebec.
