Artist presented by the Art and Miss Gallery - Paris

This is how the world was before it took shape:
ether, cloudiness, between appearance and evanescence.

*****
We are in the unpronounceable, the visible,
born in uncertainty,
between being there and chaos.

*****
It might turn ice,
rock, sunset, river, valley, lake, landscape...

It may be.
*****
We are behind the scenes of the world, waiting.
In the transition to the world, when everything takes on life and flesh.
In this here above, before everything returns to here below.

Pierre DHOMBRE, art critic

The opposition light-darkness constitutes a universal symbol.
To outline the symbolic issue, we can introduce three major meanings
light on the level of the imaginary:
light-separation, light-orientation, light-transformation.
These three aspects of light as a symbol are defined
in relation to three alterities or three forms of darkness, that is, respectively:
the abyss; darkness; shadow and opacity.
Light-orientation and darkness structure the symbolism of knowledge.
Light-transformation comes up against a double alterity: opposing opacity,
it is the symbol of manifestation, confronting the shadow,
it becomes the symbol of purification (catharsis).
The properly demiurgic dimension of this opposition
is found at the root of all the great cosmogonies.
From the bosom of a prior abyss (chaos, tehom, hustle and bustle), bottomless,
formless, order will suddenly emerge, that is to say the original separation-archetype.
Two opposing principles are thus differentiated: light and darkness.
Three demiurgic separations will proceed from it.
They engender the cosmos in its entirety.
A first separation operates the creation of the great cos oppositions
* It plays on the regular night-day variations that determine the seasons.
Creation of the cycles of death and rebirth, of waxing and waning light
between winter solstice and summer solstice.
This separation therefore regulates the game of balance and conflict between water and fire.
All the symbols of light-fertilization correspond to it: dead in autumn, resurrected in spring, etc.
The third cosmogonic separation takes place between zenith and nadir.
Above vegetable fertility and the lunar and aquatic soul differentiate
the symbolism of spirit and light-illumination.
The shadows and lights of Christine Faguet play with our imagination,
offering him all the possible oppositions to blend in a peaceful harmony,
fruit of the tumult of creation.
