Gerolamo Scaccabarozzi, known under the artistic pseudonym Gerry, was born in Missaglia in the province of Lecco north of Milan in Italy. For more than thirty-five years he has been working in the artistic field and has presented his paintings in numerous exhibitions in various Italian provinces and cities such as Como, Milan, Lecco, Vigevano, Desenzano, Rovereto, Modena, Sirmione, San Remo, Monza , Florence Caserta, Brescia, Pesaro, Paestum and Salerno. Many Italian media have been interested in his artistic activity such as RAI 3, Radio RAI 2, Télé Unique, Italian Channel, Channel 11, Radio Italy Radio Zeta, La Nuit, Stop, Le Journal de Merate, La Province de Lecco, le Giorno, Jesus, Christian Family, etc.

He is Artistic Director of the school of drawing, painting and sculpture "La Boutique de l'Art" and Honorary President of the French Artistic Association "l'Atelier d'Art" (born in Paris in 1992) with the collaboration of Mr. Jacques Landier from the Paris Chamber of Commerce.

Abroad, where he is well known, he has exhibited in Basilea (Switzerland) Geneva (Switzerland) Breda (Holland) Lugano (Switzerland).

He is particularly appreciated in France, which he considers his second homeland and which opened its doors to him a long time ago, thereby demonstrating a great interest in his works. This allowed him to be invited to exhibit on several occasions, in important places of French culture, such as the Théâtre de l'Olympia during the concerts of his friend Gilbert Bécaud, the mythical Grand Palais and the main banks such as the Banque Nationale Parisienne and Crédit Industriel de l'Ouest and also in the prestigious salons of large companies, such as Pernod and Ricard. The great patron Paul Ricard was an admirer of Gerry and a collector of his works. He has held exhibitions in cultural centers and in the best art galleries in: Paris, Versailles, Strasbourg, Beaune, Le Mont Saint Michel, Fougères, Blois, Tours, Valençay, Troyes, Aix en Provence, Marseille, Dijon and Poitiers . The main French television channels, Antenne 2 and France 3 and the most influential press organs, from La Nouvelle République to l'Alsacien, from La Revue Internationale Gunnar to Var Matin, from Paris Cote d'Azur to Figaro have devoted many articles on his works and his personality.

Russia for a few years is also very attentive to the works of this painter. In 1987, at the invitation of the Soviet Consulate in Milan, he participated in Moscow in the gathering of "Artists for Peace" within the Mastera Culturi Zamir, and in 1995 he exhibited at the Kremlin Armory, an experience repeated in 1996 in conjunction with the exhibition of the inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci. National Russian television dedicated a report to him during the newscast. The Moscow Courier and the influential Izvestia also devoted an article to him. In 1997, at the official invitation of the municipality of Moscow, Gerry exhibited at the Maison de l'Europe on the occasion of the celebrations for the 850th anniversary of the founding of the city in the presence of the Moscow authorities. The important radio "Voice of Russia", which broadcasts in 32 languages all over the world, dedicated to him in 1997, 1998 and 2000 three important interviews conducted by the journalist and Director Doctor Alexander Prokhorov. On July 5, 2000, he personally offered His Holiness John Paul II his portrait entitled "Eternal Spring".
