Stephen THOMAS

Born in Liverpool (GB) in 1953, Stephen THOMAS arrived in France in 1979, after studying history at the University of Portsmouth.

Based in Paris, he learned French for 3 years, before devoting himself in 1981 to miniature painting on wood.

He exhibited at Porte de Clignancourt until 1988, and participated in the Salon des Artisans d'Art at the Paris Fair.

In 1989, he decided to work in acrylic on large format canvases, and exhibited at the Galerie Vitesse (Paris 8th);

he continues with 2 exhibitions at the Salon Rétromobile.

His work, which was a great success, was then centered on the theme of old-fashioned cars and planes.

In 1992, he moved to the Hérault, and began to explore fantastic, imaginary, even esoteric worlds in his paintings. Alongside his work as a painter, he creates illustrations for children's books, CD covers, as well as drawings serving as models for games, puzzles, etc...

Lastly, a computer enthusiast, the computer has become a new work tool, the multiple possibilities of which he explores.
