"I paint with the eyes, the gesture follows..."

The colors are the words that speak of my painting. My palette allows me to transpose my mental images. It is the inspiration of the moment that guides me. I like to create atmospheres, to paint the gleam of the rain, the moires of the night, urban landscapes or the greenness of the branches and  the ink of the vines. Everything is a pretext for me to paint. My figurative painting abstracts from reality to interpret a fantasy world, captured through the prism of my feelings. As for my characters, I like that they leave for an unknown future, full of hope and light.

On the pictorial level, what I like are the play of light, the contrasts, the radiance of colors to the heart of the dark. I like structured compositions when the gesture frees itself from the drawing. I reinvent the visible, I escape, I let my sensitivity express itself in all rigor and freedom.

I painted a lot in oil, today I prefer acrylic that I mix with ink or oil pastel according to my projects. Painting, for me, is time fading away, the field of all possibilities. I focus on my canvas, this opening to an elsewhere that belongs to me and leads me to the chance of my emotions with an always renewed pleasure... a delight that I wish to share.
