Vladimir SHESTAKOV: The migrant painter...
He is not tied to any place, but he strives to immerse himself as much as possible in each of his stops in order to transcribe them in his works. His migration is purely artistic, he travels the world to exchange with different cultures.
His painting reflects both his state of mind at the time, but also the atmosphere of his different places of life. Whatever the subject, elle is always in a more or less accentuated movement, more or less tortured, more or less colorful. He uses traditional techniques admirably but does not refuse the most modern.
Inspired by expressionism in its form, it plunges with talent into a symbolism tinged with surrealism while claiming loud and clear total freedom of expression and creation. The artist's deep interest in creative travel, the history and culture of many countries have contributed to his reputation as a "travelling painter". And all these trips led him to create as many pictorial series. The collection of canvases named "Movement" incorporates several of the painter's old discoveries with the fruits of his recent research on the transformation of forms in movement, movement made of light and of color to pass from the abstract vision towards the flesh of life. Mouvement is the clarification of content, an attempt to harmoniously integrate the formal of art and the real of human existence. It is a new look, a renewal.
The project of the painter "Around music" constitutes a natural synthesis in his work. It consists in associating a visual series of paintings having for subject the music, their representation in the atmosphere of a musical evening. The exhibition of these paintings is intended to be the harmonious union of sound and color, the spectrum of rhythms, movement, gesture and line.
The artistic projects assume the continued exploitation of other aspects of the arts such as videos and installations, the creation of works of painting, graphics and posters in mixed techniques and screen printing.
