WOLTER Yo Xarek

It was in Switzerland, in Lausanne in 1982, on the quays of Ouchy where he executed esoteric allegories of respectable dimensions in chalk on the floor that Yo-Xarek Wolter learned to define his surreal style.

He turned professional in 1997 and exhibits all over Switzerland  and in surrounding countries in galleries and major artistic events.

The year 2003 will see surrealism gradually give way to abstraction and it will be his friendship with the Swiss painter Ernst FUCHS that will make him take the plunge. On the latter's advice, he does not hesitate to take risks and finally dares to show the public another of the many facets of his art.

The works presented are a mixture of different materials to which he integrates CDs, whole or broken, arranged in such a way that with adequate lighting the effect is striking. CD-Art was born.

The same year he exhibited for the first time in Paris, at the ART & MISS Gallery and since then has remained followed by this gallery.

Yo Xarek Wolter has participated in the following exhibitions:

  • Fantastic - August 2003

Dance and music - December 2003

Fantasy and Surrealism - December 2004
